to shore

It's AMAZING outside.

I hate midtown, by the by, but I always get a kind of kick walking around and watching people who are clearly tourists discover the city. MY city. Most especially in the spring.

Steve sent me the Lovers In Disguise demo. V. v. exciting.

I'm wearing too many layers today.

Friday!

Trying to decide between Grey Gardens and Moon for the Misbegotten for tonight. (Whatever I don't see tonight, I'm sure I"ll see tomorrow.) Also having drinks with R, which promises to be fun.

YPC brunch on Sunday -- it'll be VERY nice to see Ruecian. I *think* I'm performing Triple Threat on Sunday night, but we shall see. (*wishes Steve were HERE*)

After months & months of everything changing ALL the time, it's nice to have stasis, for now.

Of course, once the MD decision comes down, there are other decisions to make.

Testing, testing, 1-2-3

(Could I be any more cliche? Testing?)

Let's start this blog off with a little whoring-out for charity. (Link goes to my AIDSWALKNY Headquarters).

If you're just finding me, hi.

My name is Amy Lynn... well, I'm not sure what last name I'm using professionally right now. How's that for an auspicious beginning? (I hate my last name.)

I'm 27. I live in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York. I'm a lyricist (with a day job, too.) I sing Tenor 1 with the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. I've been an associate member since 2000, and just began singing this past winter. We are directed by the fabulous Casey J. Hayes.

I'm also a founding member of the Youth Pride Chorus, which is celebrating its fourth anniversary this weekend.

I'm a theatre whore. Current favorites include Grey Gardens, Les Miserables, Lestat, Journey's End and the perennial favorite, Gypsy.

So, here we go.
